Description
What is Cialis?
Cialis is a prescription medicine used to manage erectile dysfunction. Its active ingredient, tadalafil, belongs to a group of medicines called PDE5 inhibitors. It comes in a range of strengths, typically from 2.5mg up to 20mg.
How it Works
Tadalafil helps relax blood vessels and improves blood flow by blocking the PDE5 enzyme. With better blood flow to the penis, it becomes easier to get and sustain an erection. Cialis doesn’t cause an automatic erection — sexual arousal is still required.
How to Take Cialis
- Take a tablet with water around 30–60 minutes before sexual activity
- Effects can last up to 36 hours, so timing can be flexible
- Can be taken with or without food
- Do not take more than one dose within a 24-hour period
